What are the main components of an evaporative cooling system and an adiabatic cooling system?
The structure and components of the two systems are, of course, a consequence of the two different operating principles. Main components of an evaporative cooling system:
- tower body,
- heat exchange pack (open cooling tower), heat exchange coils (closed cooling tower, evaporative condenser),
- water collection basin,
- pumping system,
- fans,
- electrical control system (optional, but desirable).
- finned coils for heat exchange,
- adiabatic pack for pre-cooling the outside air,
- water recirculation system,
- electronically controlled fans,
- electronic control system as standard, to manage operating parameters and shift from dry to adiabatic mode,
- water tanks to spray the adiabatic section.
