What are the main components of an evaporative cooling system and an adiabatic cooling system?

The structure and components of the two systems are, of course, a consequence of the two different operating principles. Main components of an evaporative cooling system:

  • tower body,
  • heat exchange pack (open cooling tower), heat exchange coils (closed cooling tower, evaporative condenser),
  • water collection basin,
  • pumping system,
  • fans,
  • electrical control system (optional, but desirable).
Main components of an adiabatic cooling system:
  • finned coils for heat exchange,
  • adiabatic pack for pre-cooling the outside air,
  • water recirculation system,
  • electronically controlled fans,
  • electronic control system as standard, to manage operating parameters and shift from dry to adiabatic mode,
  • water tanks to spray the adiabatic section.
