PAD-XL Adiabatic Dry Cooler: the New Video Presentation

Video Presentazione di PAD-XL Dry Cooler Adiabatico

Tommaso Fontana, Sales Manager of MITA Cooling Technologies, explains the operation of PAD-XL: the adiabatic cooler designed for heat dissipation in industrial and civil air conditioning applications. With a focus: huge water savings, thanks to design specifications and advanced parameterization logic.

In fact, PAD-XL represents an ideal solution for companies with limited amounts of water or looking for an alternative to traditional dry coolers especially with performance in the hottest periods of the year in mind. This system makes it possible to cool the process fluid using a minimum amount of water, always optimizing electricity consumption while ensuring maximum operational reliability.

Here are the strengths of PAD-XL.

  • The advanced operating logic, which together with various sensors and a specific controller, modulates the speed of the fans and the very short wetting cycles of the adiabatic section-about 15 seconds every 15 minutes during the hottest periods-avoiding that constant “water cascade” required by other solutions. The goal is total and continuous optimization of electricity for the fans and water for wetting the adiabatic section.
  • The water recirculation kit, which is useful for recovering every drop needed for humidification of the adiabatic section.
  • Two types of adiabatic panels: the flocked PVC or the more common cellulose pack.
  • The possible protection of the adiabatic section-the efficiency (cleaning) and life of these panels when protected by the optional kit is far superior to other solutions on the market.

In addition, the system does not require specific wetting water treatments, thanks to the ability to easily set up a scheduled replacement. Access to all essential parts is simple and safe, providing significant maintenance savings over the years.
